Cookie Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
DinJobs (dinjobs.co.uk), operated by Danish Din, keeps cookies to an absolute minimum. We only use strictly necessary authentication cookies when you sign in, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking cookies.
1. Why you do not see a cookie banner
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, websites must ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. However, cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, such as keeping you signed in securely, are exempt from consent requirements.
Because DinJobs sets zero analytics, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies, no cookie consent banner is required. If this ever changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your explicit consent before setting any non-essential cookies.
2. Strictly necessary cookies we use
When you sign in to DinJobs with Google or Discord, our authentication system (Auth.js) sets the following first-party, HTTP-only cookies:
- Session token cookie (e.g.
__Secure-authjs.session-tokenorauthjs.session-token): A strictly necessary, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you signed in to your DinJobs account as you move between pages. Cleared when you sign out or when the session expires. - CSRF protection cookie (e.g.
__Host-authjs.csrf-tokenorauthjs.csrf-token): A strictly necessary security cookie that protects your account and sign-in requests against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. Duration: session. - OAuth state / PKCE cookies (e.g.
__Secure-authjs.state,__Secure-authjs.pkce.code_verifier,__Secure-authjs.callback-url): Short-lived cookies set only during the Google or Discord OAuth sign-in handshake to verify that the authentication callback matches your login request. Deleted immediately after sign-in completes (or after a few minutes).
3. What we do not use
- No Google Analytics or third-party analytics cookies.
- No advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or ad-network cookies.
- No cross-site tracking or behavioural profiling cookies.
4. How to control or delete cookies
You can remove our session cookie at any time simply by signing out of your DinJobs account. You can also configure your web browser to block or delete cookies for dinjobs.co.uk, though please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to DinJobs.
